Tuesday Meeting Day
So, today is Tuesday. Tuesday is historically a huge meeting day where I work. It all starts at 8:15 a.m. and goes downhill from there. It’s the day we talk about all of our issues with our contractors and create even more meetings to discuss the issues in depth and hopefully complete outstanding action items before the next meeting.
Here are the problems:
– Personality – I am a strong INTJ and so meetings suck energy from me instead of being an invigorating discussion.
– Action items – These multiply the more meetings there are and bottlenecks are created on top of bottleneck because most of us in the meeting don’t have time to attend the meeting in the first place.
– Rest- I have to leave immediately after the last meeting (whether 1 p.m. or 5 p.m.) and go home and go to bed. If I don’t, I can’t recover the rest of the week.
– Meetings – an excuse to look like you are doing work when you are lonely, don’t have anything to do or like more action items.
