100 degree sweat shop while avoiding the green pastures of home

Oh, and all this week the air conditioning either hasn’t worked or when it does – it feels like nothing. It’s been over 100 degrees with the humidity and so I’ve been working from the library a lot.

The interesting thing is, because of the dynamics of our organization, that everyone stays and keeps trying to work in the heat even if they are almost dying from it. They wait for the higher ups to tell them to go home.

What on earth! Aren’t we in 2008? Aren’t we knowledge workers?

For heaven sake, get a backbone and go home if it’s too hot to work! There is air conditioning at home and you may actually get some real work done.

I left early every day and came in late most of the days as well.

Common sense, my friends, is not so common.
