I was just told by someone at work that they like talking to me because I am so "real." Hmmm. How does one take this?
Let me provide some background. This person always tells me about how some people are so beautiful and others so talented and others so amazing to talk to because they are so brilliant. He likes talking to one woman because she has an IQ as high as his own.
Now, think about the comment.
It sounds like I'm just the salt of the earth, the most down to earth and simple person there is in my organization.
So, do I take this as one of those "the truth hurts" comments or do I remind myself that I don't share much with him because I don't care to share much with him. Either way, it's interesting to hear what people think of me because it often surprises me.
