We were given the option to work at home the rest of the week since they haven’t finalized the move into the cubes.
So, I took them up on the offer.
Apparently, no one else did!
So, I’m the telework rebel. Everyone else felt bound to their seats by the pressure of upper management. Oops! Did I say that?
Yes.
Line of sight management. I’m not falling for it.
So, I stayed home and got so much done. Now, if I work part of the holiday I will really be caught up – just in time to have a short week of lots of meetings leading into a week of training a new employee or two.
Well, we can’t have everything. So, I’ll be grateful for my brief fallback to telework and remember the good ole days (2000-2003) when I worked for a virtual company.
